Jackston Icelandic Sheep
I keep a small flock of registered Icelandic sheep because they are such friendly animals. Some of my sheep became the foundation animals for flocks in the Orkneys.
This year I am going to try felting some of the fleeces to make a variety of Christmas presents - slippers, hats, mittens, which will be exceptionally warm, and bags. Fleeces that can't be used will be put to good use in the garden as mulch to prevent weeds, and to warm the soil for planting. I use the wool from the shoulder area, as this is often felted, to make dog and cat beds, and thoroughly washed stuffing for toys. I am also experimenting with making rugs.
Items for Sale
**I still have a few ewes born in 2008, and ready for breeding this autumn, for sale. Colours available are chocolate, black, & white-ish. I also have 2 white ewe lambs from 2009 for sale.**
We often have fleeces for sale too as I cannot possibly use them all.
Please phone for further details.

Cae'rddraig Icelandic Sheep
I have been breeding pedigree registered Icelandic sheep since 1986, high in the hilly Uplands of North Wales - the mystical land of castles and dragons. My sheep live outdoors all year round, and lamb outdoors too. I try and maintain all the earth colours within my flock so that I have plenty of colour choices in the fleeces. Read more about my sheep and see photographs of them at www.icelandicsheepinwales.co.uk
I am also Secretary, Flock Book Compiler, and Newsletter Editor of the British Icelandic Sheep Breeders Group.
Items for Sale
**I currently have registered pure Icelandic rams for sale of various ages, and a few 2009 ewe lambs (both pure and upbred (99.8%)).**
I also have washed fleece, carded fleece, crocheted shawls, Icelandic sheep note cards for sale - see my website for full details and photographs.
